 "Praise My Soul the King of Heaven" Starts out with the Montre at 8'...then with the slightly regulated Open Diapason 8' that was "tapped down" a few weeks ago on the upper octave. Last verse is the Open Diapason at 4' which is much less strident than it was before. The closing of the toe holes is something that restricts the air going up into the pipes. These pipes were never regulated in the church. This does not affect the VOICING of the pipe at all, just the amount of air going up to to the pipe to reduce the severe overblow in some pipes.  recorded/sequenced on the Reuter opus #822 pipe organ, August 1, 2009 return to previous page.
